Sunday- UGH back to ground zero!!

MAN we are SOOOO upset right now!! Jon said that the pain management team came in..they decided ON THEIR OWN to drop the nuerontin from 4 times a day to 3 times a day and up his Lycira (sp?)..but DIDNT TELL JON they were doing that!! So last night the nurse "forgot" to give jon his 130am pain medication (the dilaudid)so by 4am jon woke up in a rage of fire..HORRIBLE rage of fire...they said that "since jon didnt ask for the pain med(dilaudid) they didnt give it to him" WHATEVER!!! he was pretty livid!! SO they gave him his dilaudid and thats when jon realized that they had switched med's on him without his consent or knowledge..
so when i called at 1030am..he was back to an SOLID 8+ and not wanting to do anything..even get out of bed..it just hurts to even move again..so he called in the charge nurse and they put a call into pain managment only to find out later that they switched his medication and then SIGNED OFF!!! so NOW weve put in a pager call to the doctor to get the pain management guys BACK in there again...SO FRUSTRATING!
on top of all this..they say that jon CANNOT take ANY pain meds with him home.."for state policy something or another reasons"..so instead of getting his 3pm pain med..he can take them an hour early at 2pm..and he'll need to be back at 6pm if he wants them again..which FOR SURE we'll have him back if that's the case..
i was thinking that maybe jon wont be able to come home..but he said NO WAY im coming home- i need some sanity!! so PLEASE take a minute and pray that all will work out when he's home..he wont get discouraged or be in too much pain..
also pray that they get the meds right and stay on top of it..he is DEMANDING that he stay there LONGER then the 10th UNLESS his pain is BACK to where it was yesterday..he will fight the insurance and PUSH the doctor and head coordinator to do so..
ive put a call into casa colina..its in pomona i believe..its another rehab type place..they will come do an evaluation on jon for free and see what their facilities can do for jon..then we will submitt to the insurance to see if they'll pay for it..other wise cash wise its about 800 a day for inpatient and 500 for bringing him for the day and picking him back up..so we'll see...
Leisa made a comment to me yesterday..she said it will be so great to just have "jons presence" in the home..that is SOOOO true!! he doesnt need to throw baseballs or swim with the kids..he just needs to have his presence here..i feel the same way about Heavenly Father..i just want his presence to be here..and that is SOOO possible if were doing the right things..im grateful for that knowledge to know how to feel his presence and make that possible...
hopefully the day turns out better then it has started..
