Made it to a 10...

Today Jon believes he made it to a 10 out of 10. He was breaking down today. Everyone was in the room trying to figure it out. They decided to drop the baclofen back down to 10mg and bring the nuerontin back up and even more to 600mg. He took todarol..which essentially is a big ibrubrofen..Jon wasnt happy that it was just a really big motrin type thing! They also started him on a fentanol patch. Jon had gotten to the point where he'd take ANYTHING to not break down like he was today. He's been SO worried about his bowels..but he decided he couldnt take it any longer.

He took everything and still was at a solid 8/9.5..it didnt seem to do much for him. They REALLY need to find the root of his pain. THey say that he'll keep having more and more pain and then he'll reach a ceiling and then it will come back down. WHY that is i have NO idea! doesnt make sense to me!!

I was able to feed him half a quizno's sandwich for lunch and he ate all of his dinner tonite. So thats good.

Hopefully this new trial of meds will work. He needs to find something that will take the edge off..and bring him down to a manageable pain.

They are still keeping his release date of May 10th. I dont know how they'd just send him home with these high pain levels. But i guess thats the way it goes.

He'll be home Saturday. I'd like to keep it REALLY quiet here at the home. Where it is just our family. Im asking that nobody come over. I prefer not to have a stream of people lined up out our door to say hi..so if you please would understand my plea..i'd be grateful. With Jon in this amount of pain..im not even sure he'll be coming home on Saturday for a visit..if he does..i'd prefer it be nice and easy and quiet..

Thank you Sis. Snow and Sis. McKell for helping me with the girls today. They seemed to have REALLY enjoyed themselves!! I KNEW they'd love the mcKells home!!

Thank you for your prayers..despite all the constant pain jon has been in..he's still managed good spirits..hes still the same Jon i love..the one we all love..pray that this pain he's in is part of the healing process..he does get MORE and MORE feeling back..which is great..i pray that its all for something..
