Thursday

Last nite i went with celesta at 9pm to get a piece of strawberry pie..it was nice to get away for an hour..i brought some home for jon - he had 3 bites and wanted to save it for tomorrow...
we all slept pretty good..im anxious for the urologist today..im REALLY praying that we've fought this UTI--otherwise it means an IV for him..we're also going to talk to him about having a cath in jon all nite so im not getting up in the middle of the nites with him anymore..each procedure is 30 minutes long..thats a long time to be awake and alert at 4am!!! nursing a baby was so much easier for me! i could atleast just lie there and half the time i fell back to sleep while nursing!! so if he could do this- it would make things so much easier on me..and i wouldnt be cranky and mean during the day!!!
our appt is at 230pm today..scott will be here with the girls...anna didnt want to go to for child care this am..so i kept her- im glad the sister was able to take becca because SHE is the hardest one ever!! this am while i was cathing..she was literally under my robe crying..and its not one of those things where i can just pick her up and put her on the stairs (like i usually do if she's throwing a fit)..i cant let go of the cath - otherwise it comes out and i have to start ALL OVER again..so we just sat there and listened..a lovely way to start your morning at 8am!!!
it sounds like the girls are enjoying themselves in utah..last nite they were making brownies when i called to check on them..rachel asked me to "tend to her garden" which is still growing!! as i water it - it reminds me of the Garricks and how they've been like a second family to my girls and how much i appreciated ALLLL that they've done for our family - kevin is the one that planted the garden with rachel..she's always checking on her garden...
jon is doing pretty good- he got up and managed to actually not pass out this am!! SO NICE when that happens!!! were in the middle of the bowel program right now..then he'll get back in bed then we'll change his clothes for the day and get him into his wheelchair to finally start his day at 12noonish time..his pain seems to be doing well..tolerable..he's just freezing a lot now and/or burning a lot..he also has more spasms too...i need to call west coast spine and see if they have our referral yet or not to get him going to his outpatient rehab..
we've found out that the insurance is ONLY paying 2500 for his wheelchair and its up to use to pay the other 7k for it..so somebody AGAIN didnt tell me the truth about things..i tell you = you REALLY have to be on top of EVERYTHING with this!!
well back to the "program"
