CRAZY MAD BUSY DAY!!!

Well its obvious that today is going to be CRAZY!!! im working like a mad woman trying to get it all together over here...
jon slept well..he's a little nauseated but doing well...we're in the middle of his bowel program..

I will have to try the college..i dont know who would be able to do it at a college for 24 hours if they are in school..but i guess its worth a try..you have to be careful placing ad's in the newspaper because you dont know what kind of people start coming thru your door wanting to work only to take advantage of your stuff!! We do have something thru the church employment -but that sadly has brought up nothing..very frustrating...

well i need to keep things going with jon and packing..i will have internet access on the ship..so i will continue to report from there- wish us luck and pray that all goes well!!

I was thinking that even if you could rotate the people in and out for school it may be the best. That way if you had two and one was taking day classes and another evening you could rotate them.

Ok. You have probably already thought of this but here goes.

You could hire someone that would come to your home to help with Jon from 4AM to Noon (8 hours. You could shorten their hours if you wanted to start his bowel program a little earlier).

Then you could hire some one else to come from 8PM till 12:30AM (four hours, great shift for a college student or someone who works two jobs or some one with children that wants to make a little extra money while their husband is home at night to watch the kids).

With this schedule it might be easier to find help and you would not have to worry about someone sleeping in your home.

Where I live in Las Vegas NV it is easy to find people to work those hours (shifts).

I forgot to add that if you can manage the 4AM cath, and then go back to bed, you just need to hire a person for the morning shift from 8AM till noon.

Would someone actually come at 4AM?? That'd be awesome if they could..or I could get up and do the 4AM thing and see if i survive during the day...
so im looking at the same price either for this set up or just having someone 24 hours which stinks..

You definitely need to go on the cruise....it will be very memorable trip for the family. It will all work out...I know it will. Your family will be blessed. Our prayers are with you guys.

I think it is worth it to pay the same price if they are actually working while they are there instead of sleeping/napping.

Hear hear! Enjoy the cruise! We're praying for you.

You and your sweet family have a wonderful time on your cruise.

You and Jon have served and helped so many people and now you are faithfully enduring a trial that would break most people.

You are a special family. I personally think the dear Lord knew what you would be facing and has provided this trip (that we all know was planned months ago and cannot be refunded) as a joyous time for your family to relax and to build fond memories.

You are a remarkable example of faith, hope and charity.

Have fun

I really think you could get a college student to come at 4 am. I think that is a great idea. Then he or she could still take classes in the afternoon or early evening. And that way you wouldn't be paying for time that someone is sleeping which you are right is a waste of your money.

Enjoy your trip! Don't worry about what anyone else says - you deserve it and need it!

I think you need to not try to run faster than you have strength (if that is at all possible for you!). Thus, you need a break. I hope everything goes well on the cruise!

YES! I totally think someone would go in to help at 4am.. my husband goes to work at 2am... and the mom at night is a great idea! I would totally be into that- but I am in WA- what a great way to earn a little extra money! I hope you find the right people to help you!
